The RCF HDL 30-A is a 2×10″ 2-way 2200W line array module designed to provide accurate phase and wide frequency response for A/V system installers, audio engineers, and rigging technicians in outdoor environments or houses of worship, concert venues, and live stage applications. Its Class-D amplifiers deliver 2200W of power to dual 10″ neodymium woofers and a 4″ titanium compression driver, yielding a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz. On-board FirPHASE technology ensures linear amplitude and phase patterns with minimal latency.
32-bit/48 kHz DSP processing and RDNet control via EtherCon I/O allow comprehensive remote control and system monitoring. XLR and powerCON inputs and outputs are employed for straightforward integration with standard PA components. The HDL 30-A’s lightweight composite polypropylene cabinet features built-in carry handles and rigging points to grant easy transport and installation.
Class-D Amplifiers
RCF’s Class-D power amplifier technology combines performance and efficiency into a lightweight solution. HDL amplifiers deliver an ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and impressive audio performance. The amplifier features a solid, machined aluminum structure, which not only stabilizes the amplifier during transportation, but also helps the fan-less heat dissipation. All HDL amplifiers present a switch-mode power supply section to produce maximum output and minimum weight.
FiRPHASE Technology
RCF speakers are designed by using FiRPHASE, a proprietary and advanced FIR filtering technology conceived for delivering transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect stereo images to the listener. The FiRPHASE algorithm optimizes dynamics, amplitude, and phase patterns while ensuring minimum system latency.
RDNet-Controlled DSP
The remote-controlled DSP continuously monitors the levels, soft limiter, and temperature of each amplifier. One system engineer can carry out many functions from the RCF RDNet Networked Monitoring and Control Software:
- Monitor the entire system and each component
- Test individual components
- Read out tilt angles of individual modules with the built-in inclinometer
- Group modules together in arrays and create separate zones inside the array
- Design and control arc and end-fire subwoofer arrays in just a few clicks
- Adjust gain and delay
- Set equalizers including three adjustable FiRPHASE filters for mid to high frequencies
- Set Air Compensation for a single cabinet or groups to compensate the air loss on long-throw applications
- Save and recall system presets
Linear High-Frequency Response
RCF ND940 titanium compression driver with 4″ diaphragm and 1.4″ exit throat handles frequencies above 680 Hz. The custom 4 PATH–designed waveguide allows a precise coverage of 100° x 15° while also delivering an excellent, linear high-frequency response. The unique shape of the four ducts forming the guide creates an ideal isophasic load from 680 Hz to the highest audible frequencies.
Efficient and Controlled Bass
Dual 10″ neodymium woofers feature water-resistant, fiber-doped cones, polycotton M-roll surrounds, and hyper-vented magnetic structures. Low-frequency reproduction extends down to 50 Hz.
Lightweight and Strong Cabinet
The sturdy composite polypropylene enclosure boasts a heavy-duty front grille and employs a rigging concept inspired by the RCF HDL-50A. Compared to its acoustical power, it has a low weight for easy handling and flying. The integrated mechanics are both fast and reconfigurable, allowing the system engineer to create J-shaped and spiral arrays starting with 0.2° angles. The angle can be adjusted beforehand to hang the system on the ground and automatically slip into the correct position when pulling up the array. Up to twenty HDL 30-A modules can be fastened on a single flybar.
